Before I Die

I had this up at my last domain, and I loved being able to aspire and check off things occasionally. I revised it some–took off the “goals” I didn’t think were important to me anymore–as well as noted which I’ve accomplished so far. So here it is (fully linked/bold items have been accomplished)…

Things I Want to Do Before I Die

001. Go to Scotland.
002. Knit myself a sweater.
003. Knit a pair of socks.
004. Become a decent guitarist.
005. Write my own songs.
006. Sing and play my guitar in front of an audience.
007. Earn a Bachelor’s degree.
008. Watch a meteor shower.
009. Taste wine.
010. Climb a tree.
011. Meet a famous person.
012. Ride a horse.
013. Volunteer or work for the Red Cross.
014. Knit an afghan.
015. Visit Roswell, New Mexico, and hunt for aliens. (The truth is out there.)
016. Go to an opera.
017. Watch a sunrise.
018. Meet Ewan McGregor. (A girl can dream, I suppose.)
019. Give money to a complete stranger.
020. Give food to a homeless person.
021. Own a house with a fireplace.
022. Go back to New York, post-9/11.
023. Pet a lamb/sheep.
024. Plant a flower garden in my yard.
025. Publish a poem.
026. Act in a play.
027. Serve jury duty.
028. See my puppies frolic in the snow.
029. Make angels in the snow.
030. Actually have a white Christmas.
031. Go back home to Virginia for a visit.
032. See a shooting star.
033. Be completely debt-free. I hate money sometimes.
034. Make love under the stars.
035. See U2 in concert.
036. Write a novel.
037. Learn to handdye yarn.
038. Sell my handdyed yarn.
039. Go ghost hunting!
040. Meet Diana Gabaldon.
041. Finish the Outlander series.
042. Read all these books. (I’m not even close to accomplishing this one!)
043. See Jewel in concert.
044. Meet the TAPS members.
045. Visit the Poe Museum.
046. Buy a house.
