i thought the effects were much better in this movie than the last. no fake running at least!

the wolves? freaking AMAZING! my favorite was the fight between jacob and paul

as for taylor lautner? funny side-story here. we saw the movie at a special screening for mark's work ($2.50 a ticket, but we had to see it at 9 am,lol), and the theater was full of moms taking their teen-age daughters. when taylor took his shirt off for the first time, half the room gasped. this was quickly followed by the rest of the room laughing, lol.

we had a whole discussion about taylor and the fact that he's only 6months older thanmy older son. i've finally come to the conclusion that i really like him as eye candy, but if i met him in person, i'd probably mother him, lol.

i think it's impressive that he wanted this role so badly that he literally "worked" his way into an additional 30#. that's dedication to your craft.

P.S. I KNEW the whole Jacob thing was going that way in the books. Honestly, I think I would have liked them a lot better if Stephenie Meyer had had some *editing* done! It's really not 4 x 1000 pages worth of a story.

Even though the books lost me after the first one (I REALLY hate Jacob.), I'm planning on seeing the movie. What did you think of Dakota Fanning? Not having seen it I think she was a poor choice (if Kathy Griffin's not allowed to say she is in rehab as a joke, how can you cast her as a vampire? Either she's innocent or she's not.), but we'll see. I want to see it, but I don't, if that makes any sense.

Thanks for the report!
