ok, so the other night I had the bleeding nose dream–portent of doom and destruction!–and last night I had a creepy dream about bugs. Not just any bugs, of course…it had to be about my fear: roaches. There were dozens of them, but all I had was a flimsy fly swatter and that was like patting them on their backs because those suckers are nothing if not indestructible. So I just kept whacking away at them, and some of them got squished–it was rather gross–then I woke up this morning and didn’t go back to sleep. I read a book instead.
