My First Wollmeise!

I’ve been coveting this yarn for months, especially with all the hype surrounding it. But I absolutely refuse to pay upwards of $40-100 for sock yarn, even Wollmeise, on eBay! That’s just INSANE.

A kind Raveler sold this to me for a reasonable price (retail + shipping). Hurray! It’s my first Wollmeise, so I have to scour Ravelry for patterns till I find something that’s just right. :) I’m thinking a scarf maybe, because sometimes I think yarn is just too pretty to go on my feet.

It’s 100% superwash merino in the colorway Uluru, and it really is that bright/vibrant in person!

I’m the same way with my handspun yarn. I have no idea what I’m going to make of it, but I know I don’t want it on my feet. Or to be anything that might get dirty easy. So probably some wristers or a nice scarf. Maybe a hat.

Honestly, I have no idea. I might just keep it twisted in skeins and pet it.

I would vote for a scarf – a non-complicated pattern that would show off those gorgeous colours. Something quick too, so you can keep on petting it wherever you go. :)
Your knitting/book/inspirational room looks so nice and cozy!
