I was sitting there waiting to be called, and several police officers walked past wearing nightsticks and GUNS...I kept staring at them because I was freaked out, lol. (I don't like guns at all!) About the book--I think I like the patterns in Designer better than the original OSW. :) Mary: holy crap, that's way more than me! I was inked--but the lady who inked me was very nice and even took me over to the little cleaning station so I could scrub my fingers clean. :D kc: that is really interesting! It's the norm when you work with kids, the government, etc. My favorite was when I had to go the the Sheriff's office/COUNTY JAIL to get "live-scanned." That was a hoot...you know you are old-skool when you've been finger-printed so often that you come prepared with your own windex to get the the ink off...only, live-scanning is literally them scanning your prints and sending them directly to the feds. The joke with me was (as I was going to teach), "we're making sure you're not a pervert." Nice. Were you live-scanned or um, "inked"? I'm wondering if they're waiting for the results before they give you and id badge? You know, in case you really are an axe murderer :). I do like the way new books smell, but I also really like the older book smell. This is going to sound REALLY strange, but paperbacks from the late seventies to the mid eighties smell SO good to me! And yes, it's that specific! I'm a weirdo! I bet you will start using the library more, when you work there. I (well, my sister and I) have a huge fine at ours... so I haven't been there in awhile... :eek: I haven't seen 23 yet. I have a lot of movies I need to catch up on, currently.
