ok, so Ravelry has got me taking stock of my unfinished objects, which is easy to do considering it’s all there in one convenient location. To my dismay, I have FOURTEEN unfinished objects. Those don’t even include the other THREE unphotographed WIPs I started recently.
Here’s the lowdown:
1. Secret of the Stole – no way I’m frogging this. I’m enjoying the pattern so far, and the knitalong seems fun.
2. Waves Scarf – definitely finishing this. The pattern is super easy, the yarn is scrumptious, but my only concern is that I might need to buy one more skein of Malabrigo to finish. Not sure yet, though.
3. Cabled Gauntlets – I don’t love these as much as I thought I would. I’ve started the second one but I lack the motivation to finish.
4. 3×1 Arm Socks – I knit on the first one like a fiend, started the second one, and then…just fizzled. I’ll finish for sure, though, because I do like the look and feel of the first one.
5. Montego Bay Scarf – I probably started this at the wrong time of year, it being autumn and this is more of a spring scarf! This might have to be frogged, as I’m not too far along into the pattern.
6. Austermann Step Socks – Second Sock Syndrome, anyone? It’s all stockinette so it will fly by, but darnit I have no motivation!
7. Peaks & Valleys Socks – it doesn’t help that the pattern had errors, no errata that I could find online, and my second skein of yarn is noticeably darker than the first, blar! I’ve cast on the second, but for those reasons, stalled completely.
8. Mona Socks – I remember knitting the first one rather quickly, and it’s a Cookie A. pattern so it automatically rules, but it’s SSS yet again.
9. Dublin Bay Socks – I knit the first sock when I still lived in New Mexico. That’s over 7 months ago, people. oy…once again, I’m chalking it up to SSS.
10. Green Gable – I do not like Cotton Fleece.
11. Retro Redux Shrug – I love the look of the shrug but the pattern is more ribbing than lace. Hence, I’m sort of bored.
12. Wicked – the pattern is very well written but this is definitely getting frogged. I don’t think I’ve found the right pattern for this yarn, either.
13. Cashmere Arm Cosy – this is another “definitely will finish.” It’s also another NM project. The major thing holding me back? Seaming the stinking thing at the end. I HATE seaming, argggg!
and 14. Karaoke Cable Scarf – this is actually sitting in one of my plastic totes, under some yarn, lol. I need to dig this out–now that I’ve learned needle-less cabling, it should go by more quickly.
oh wait, do I even have enough yarn to finish the scarf?? crap…
Clearly, I need help here!

I think that list is not so bad – socks could be finished in less than a week, the same as the scarves, so i wouldn’t count them as “whole items”
That leaves just 3 larger projects, I mean that’s great!
Compared to me who has 5 lace projects on the needles (all the needles I’ve got!) that is pretty good
