BUT you have to be a member of my Outlander Fans group on Ravelry to be eligible to win. (No, that’s not mean, it’s my group and yarn, darnit! haha)

This is me getting to the Yarn Stash Crisis Point at which I have found myself for months. I’ve been on the yarn diet for almost two months (!) and the stash seems to just…stay the same size. lol And it’s not like I’m not knitting! I knit nearly every day, but either I’m slow as molasses or the stash is secretly and mystically replenishing itself while I sleep.

At any rate, this is the quickest way for me to clear the stash somewhat. Maybe not the cleverest method, as I’m taking a loss money-wise, but at the same time I feel good about it. It’s sort of a random act of kindness thing, only not so random since it’s more of a contest. Whatever. :) I’m thinking of them as yarny gifts, ok?

Anyway, if the stash multiplication/mogwai effect continues, I might dig around again and put some yarn up for sale, but honestly, I just need a quick fix stash purge right now. And nothing makes people perk up and run like free yarn!

Besides, it has been a long week. Might as well pass on the yarny love to people who will appreciate it. :) (And in case you’re thinking it, no, I will not mind if you join the group solely for the purposes of entering the contest. The more the merrier!)

  1. if you want to be givin’ yarn away to, you know, non outlander fans… who are broke and can’t buy yarn…… well, i volunteer for the cause. to help you, of course. ;)

  2. hehe! You know I’ll do another giveaway here on my blog if the yarn mogwai continue to replicate my stash. It’s inevitable. ;)

  3. LOL! I love your yarn/books sales! :)

  4. Oh, you didn’t read my post on yarn and things I belive about it? Actually, I don’t remember where that post is. lol But yarn multiplies itself. There are yarn gnomes, they steal your DPNs, create mistakes in what you were sure was a flawless project, and find any other means to make a mess of your house by flinging yarn every which where.

Okay…now that you think I’m crazy. :) Have fun with your stash purge!

  5. Gnomes sound scary! Wait, I’m thinking of elves…or trolls. lol

  6. Gnomes! That MUST be it! Cuz i could have sworn I was careful about my YO placements and then BAM! HA! Off by one! Or seven…

I am not a very good joiner. I’m tactlesswonder on ravelry but have done NOTHING with my area and have ventured into the groups not at all. And then there’s the guilt of not having ever read Outlander so I can’t just join your group, though the yarn is tempting. I will wait for you to have something on your blog. :)

  7. Mary, you are so diplomatic about it! oh but Ravelry is so fun! Join us…join us…*chants*

  8. i’m off to check the group!

  9. I finally finished listening to the book. I am soooo in love with Jamie. LOL
