a few things.
- My PMS/stress-related backache that’s lasted for three days finally seems to be getting better. (ok, A) don’t you love that I started this post talking about menstrual issues? hi, I’m clearly a girl, and B) I’m not sure which it was–the girly stuff, or a LOT of recent stress. My self-diagnosis is a combo of both.) And the relief has only come after two days of Advil, Thermacare heat wraps, a switch to Aleve, and–gasp!–exercise. Probably my body’s just trying to kick me in the arse and telling me to move something.
- Tomorrow is the season 3.5 premiere of Ghost Hunters! woooooo!
- In the spirit of the new season, and the new book, and the upcoming appearance in Williamsburg…I started a Ghost Hunters Fans group on Ravelry. Because I wanted to.
- That being said, I’ve had my nose stuck in their book the past two days that I haven’t knit a stitch in those two days! egads.
- I’ve been signed up for the Secret of the Stole knitalong and it hasn’t even started yet. But I am very tempted to also join the Halloween Mystery Shawl KAL. The only downside, if you can call it that, is that you have to purchase the pattern for this (SotS is free). Plus I think one lace project is enough at one time for me. (ADD knitter here, you understand.) But the thing is, I actually HAVE red Zephyr laceweight in my stash RIGHT NOW, which is what the HMS calls for. What a stashbuster that would be! eek. I’m conflicted. What do you think? Should I just go for it? It starts this Saturday!

I hope your back is feeling better, that stinks! I don’t usually get them in my back that bad, but other places hoo boy! 
I bet some of it is due to stress, it seems like backs really take a lot of tension when you are stressed out.
Yay about GH tomorrow, though! I am so curious about their book! I told the WB about it and he said “maybe I can get it and we can read it together” but usually when he suggests something he never goes through with it 
Maybe this time he actually will!
Hmm I’d say just stick with the Secret of the Stole. Will the Halloween one be for sale after it’s done? If you like the pattern you could always buy it then and use up your Zephyr!

Very excited for TAPS tomorrow- I ordered the book you mentioned, and I can’t wait to read it. Though I have had a couple “personal experiences”- and not with Adam, so it’ll probably freak me out! Hope your back is better soon!

If it was free, I’d say join. $5 for a mystery that you may not like….. I’m a Halloween sucker and considered it myself. Once everyone has finished decide then if you want to do it for next year. Set aside your red just in case. My .02 ‘cuz that’s what I’m doing! Although I don’t have the yarn for it so it made my decision easier!
I haven’t done my swatch for SotS yet. I decided I need to finish at least one Monkey before I could do it. Almost there.
