This afternoon, I was stopped by a cop who told me I was driving 39 mph in a 25 mph zone. ok, fine, I was speeding. And when the officer asked me if I knew how fast I was going, I was honest and said no. He took my license and registration, blah blah, and took his sweet time checking my record.
I did not have ANY tickets or anything bad on my driving record. The only ticket I ever had was from almost 12 years ago!
HE GAVE ME A TICKET ANYWAY.
This is probably the only time you will ever see me curse on my blog!
What a load of crap!!! haha, I couldn’t bring myself to curse here. 
But seriously…this cop looked all of 18 years old, he had to have seen my clean record, and he gave me a ticket anyway?? Ballocks!!! I’m sooooo pissed. And the real kicker?
It’s a $141 ticket. argggggggggggghhhh!!! 141 DOLLARS. What??? It’s $5 for every mile over the limit, plus a $61 “processing fee” and another $10 for “other fees.” eh???
I wrote the stupid check and it will be in the mail tomorrow morning. The city of Virginia Beach and the cop who ticketed me, for that matter, may now kiss my butt.

The cop was probably peeved that he had to work on a holiday. You know, he was probably just um, sharing the love.

Ugh, the only time I ever got a ticket was over Memorial Day weekend too, 6 years ago. Ugh, I bet Mary’s right, he was probably a little grumpy about working on the holiday. How annoying!

Holidays also mean they are really cracking on down on drunk driving and all that, the cops are *always* pulling people over whenever they know picnics and parties are going on!

Before you pay it, you might look into traffic school options. You still have to pay the ticket, but it makes it so that it doesnt go on your record/insurance.

Me & my husband drove home (Ohio) from MN (where we were visiting my family) and we got pulled over in Wisconsin. My husband was going 80 in a 65. His ticket is $186. So I feel your pain. It royally sucks…and let me just say…I cussed out Wisconsin (sorry to all those who live there!).

Eekk, that does suck. He probably gave you a ticket cuz for some reason I’ve heard that at the end of the month, you are more likely to be ticketed because they have to meet their quota’s and what not. I’m sending you some happy vibes.

Man, I had that happen 2 years ago. A truck was dogging me, so I sped up to get over and out of his way. The truck sped on by, but I got nailed with a $ 165 ticket! I feel your pain.
