itch, scratch, repeat.

As a sort of follow-up to yesterday’s post…thanks to Tasha for giving me the heads up about the K9 Academy! I sent them a message about pricing for training, so we’ll see how that turns out. :) Something I also found was Bark Busters, a home dog training organization. They have a local trainer in this area, so I’m keeping them in mind as a second choice (second just because they seem like they might be more expensive…but we’ll see).

To explain the title of this post…I am ITCHY. The other day, when my dogs were having their horrific fight, I ran outside in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt to help break it up. I was only outside for about 10 or 15 minutes when the mosquitoes decided to hold some kind of buffet on my physical person. Or it was probably just one mosquito that had a field day. I counted 11 bites total, some on my left arm but mostly on my legs and feet. Greedy little buggers. So I’m slathered in Cortisone right now, but still itchy. It’s really, really hard to resist the itching but I know they won’t go away if I keep scratching. grr.

I 2nd Bark Busters! Totally forgot about them but I met one of the founders at a sales training last year. Super nice lady. The system seems so wonderful. Good luck whatever you do!

And I feel your pain on the itchiness. I don’t have mosequito bites but hives. Fun stuff.

Do you have to take Benadryl for the hives? I used to get hives as a kid and that’s what I always had to take. Now I just take it for allergies.

Thanks for the good word! I’m interested if anyone out there has experience using their services. :)

11 bites already? Mosquitoes are so gross, yuck. I haven’t seen any yet *knock on wood* … and honestly, once they come out, I stay inside most of the time. I hate being bugged (heh) by… bugs.

I love that ‘nothing rhymes with orange’ shirt!

Jennie: that’s exactly what I’m using and it’s helping so, so much! :)

kc: this makes me not want to go in the backyard, which is sad! But hopefully there won’t be any mosquitoes at the beach–I’m finally going to go this week! :) I like that shirt a lot, hehe.
