Just finished watching Saved!. I liked it A LOT, probably more than I would have if I hadn’t gone to a pseudo-American Eagle Christian School myself, haha. Don’t get me wrong, I know that all Christians are not crazy people but I do have firsthand knowledge that a lot of them are, in fact, hypocrites. Just like any other segment of the population, there are real people, and there are fake people. Anyway, I found the movie very entertaining. :)

So keep the movie recommendations coming because that’s two-for-two so far on the comedies! Say no to depressing movies! (At least until my divorce is finalized.)

  1. I knew you would like it! The thing about it is, though, is they show all the sides. Some people are just crazy in their faith (not in a good way) but others really think they are doing right by what they believe, and I think they did a good job of showing those spiritual/moral dilemmas. Plus there are lots of funny bits and happy bits. Didn’t you just love the end when they were all at the hospital? awww. :)

  2. That is a good point. Some characters were positive representations and the nutty characters were just satirical (yet, sadly, very true-to-life).

The ending was good without being overly cheesy…I think I might have cried, haha! (Then again, I was very emotional/hormonal at the time.)

  3. I have this on my Netflix list!! Another documentary I loved was “Spellbound”- I think that’s what it’s called- about the National Spelling Bee…

Oh, and also you MUST see, if you haven’t already, Kinky Boots!!

  4. Cool, I will keep those in mind! Thanks. :)
