So much for being sick again yet feeling somewhat ok; today I feel like crap. :( I went to the acute care clinic (for the second time this month), and they prescribed me more meds. I went back to work, thinking I’d be able to make it through the rest of the day, but no go. I went home. For whatever reasons, I can’t seem to shake this cold. The doctor said to come back if I get a fever and/or chills, but hopefully I’ll get better before it comes to that!

Just call me little sicko for the rest of the week. :(

This weekend I came down with another cold. ANOTHER! I spent a week earlier in the month feeling like the walking dead, and now the sick zombies have come back to claim my soul! Or at least my sinuses. Thankfully, I still have the prescription meds from cold #1, so I’ve been taking those and have been in commission, at least. Still sucks to be under the weather yet again, though.

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of…let’s call it Life Planning. (Trying to avoid the d-word, you know.) I’m making good progress, and that takes a lot of stress off my mind. Actually crossing things off that dreaded to-do list feels great. :)

And! Brooke’s yarn from White Willow arrived today, which I will be knitting up and taking photos so that she can add them to her shop! :) I’m very excited. The yarn is Gorgeous. With a capital G, see?

P.S. I know I promised photos of my finished Jaywalker socks, and I will post them (coughEventuallycough)… :) I’d rather not take them out in the snow and get them all soggy, so hopefully it will melt away in the next few days or so!

Snow Mosaic, Part II So I woke up this morning to the dogs’ whining because they wanted to go outside. I dragged myself out of my cozy bed, went to look outside, and…

aggggghhh!

This is what I saw. Snow! A buttload of snow, in fact!

Naturally, I put on my parka and shoes so that I could take photos for you. It’s at least 6 or 7 inches so far, and STILL coming down. So this is the winter storm warning they were talking about…

I’m thinking that I’m not leaving my house unless absolutely necessary. Goodness knows what the roads are like…! That being said, I opened the blinds so that I can watch the snow fall; it’s really pretty. From inside my warm house with my dogs to keep me company. :)

I started knitting Pomatomus and couldn’t even figure out the first repeat. *cries* Lace kicks my butt once again… :( It’s all those stinking yarn overs that confuse me! I’ve knit Hedera and Monkey; why does Cookie’s most popular pattern elude me?

Snow Mosaic As you can see, it’s snowing!

It doesn’t feel (or look) like a winter storm or severe weather, but then again it has only been coming down since this morning. But it has been steady, so I’m thinking it will continue into the night and tomorrow.

The dogs had some fun playing in it, long enough for me to photograph them (and myself, lol)…now we’re all inside where it’s warm and cozy. :)

Question…why do the good folks at weather.com have to type in ALL CAPS?! I understand it’s important, but there’s no need to shout! ;)

Well, it’s not a dream really, but I had thought it nearly impossible: I’m literally a couple rounds away from kitchener stitching the toe on my second Jaywalker sock! This will make my first actual pair of Jaywalkers! :D yeah, I know the pattern has been out forever, but for some odd reason, I’ve never been able to finish a pair…will post photos when they’re done, of course!

I probably would have finished them last night, if I hadn’t been intent on working on the Inventory of Property (see previous post). So far, my Excel spreadsheet is two pages long. I don’t think there is too much more to add, but I really hadn’t realized until yesterday how much “stuff” there is in this house, between the two of us.

I feel a lot of pressure getting the preliminary paperwork/financial business sorted before I actually retain the lawyer. Then again, I am the one initiating the divorce, so I accept the bulk of the responsibility as far as the details and paperwork go. It’s just a lot to think about sometimes…

And I can tell it’s time for some knitting therapy. Not just knitting retail therapy, for once; actual knitting. Time to finish those Jaywalkers. :)
