Frieda Blocking Can you feel the excitement?! I’m blocking for the first time! Soon Frieda will be finished and wearable! :D My apologies for the not-so-great photos; I know the view over my washer and dryer isn’t exciting, either.

(Off-topic: my Akismet anti-spam plugin seems to be on the fritz again, darnit. Turning on Spam Karma again!)

  1. Cool! :) Did you use anything like Eucalan or something? I actually just used some lavendar hair conditioner for my scarf and it worked really well. :) I’m dyyyyying (well, not really, but you know, close) to see this sweater put together!

  2. Yep, I used Eucalan! :) The yarn has seemed to relax and soften up a bit, but the real test will be trying it on, of course!

  3. I finally bought a blocking board from WEBS… That looks gorgeous! Really well done!!! I am afraid of blocking a bit, but since I’ve never made a sweater it hasn’t really been an issue… but I’ll have to bite the bullet soon!

  4. Annie: blocking is much easier than I thought it would be! :) Though, I haven’t blocked lace yet, and I would think that’s a little tougher with all the points and edgings! I really want a proper blocking board–maybe I’ll check out WEBS :)
