Hi! How long are the tips of these needles? The one pair of circular needles I have has tips that are only about 3.5" long before they bend, and they really hurt my hands to use, so I've been avoiding circular needles like the plague. I've been thinking about getting some of these knitpicks needles, but I really want the tips to be 5" long, at least. They look long enough in the photos, but if you could tell me definitively how long they are, it would help a lot. Thanks!

Well damn. I've had these in my shopping cart for a couple of weeks, and keep trying to think of reasons NOT to buy them (the sizes aren't on the needles themselves, which will require me finding that damn "what is my needle size thingy" and they don't come with a 12' cord... and that's all I've been able to come up with so far. And now after reading this I think I have to buy them. Damn. Damn Damn.

I'm hoping the Sierra will soften! I probably need to stop knitting him stuff that is handwash only (his socks are too), but I really wouldn't want to put a handmade sweater in the machine...yikes!

I forgot I sent you wedding photos! Then again, it has been about 4 1/2 years...sheesh! It will be 5 in December! Time flies, hehe. Then again, sometimes it doesn't. It's all weird :D

yay, that's the sock with the yarn I really like!

It looks like it is knitting up really nicely :) Maybe it will soften with a little handwashing in the end? I've found the best way to make stuff for other people is to let them pick the color, hehe. Even though everyone always says they like the color I chose - I just panic about it the entire time, haha!

Well, I do have some wedding photos! But I haven't seen him since then, hehe. It's okay if he doesn't want to you to post his face, but we have to see it in action! :)

I finally kitchenered my sister's sock's toe last night. I'm planning on casting on sock number two tonight!

They are very light :) I haven't gotten to the main body of the sweater yet...I'm still on the bottom portion, so there isn't much weight yet, but I think the cord will hold the weight nicely.

The Sierra is pretty nice! It is mostly wool but has some alpaca, so it's not "crunchy" exactly, but it's not the softest yarn either. It feels like a nice, sturdy yarn. :) He usually wears t-shirts under his sweaters anyway, so if he finds it at all scratchy, he can work it out, hehe. Yes, it is Tide :) I made him look at the KP site with me and choose his own color because he is quite picky for a guy!

I will definitely get him to put on the sweater once it's finished, but he may or may not consent to my posting his face on Flickr. I will ask him, though. :) I know, you've never seen him, right? I'll try to get him to let me share it with Flickr friends only at least!

Wonderful! I'm so glad they are turning out as good as they seemed they would. The fact that they are light is a big factor for me, although, my wrist doesn't usually hurt too much when I use circs, it's really just long straights that do it... it is becoming more important for me to pay attention to these things

I want some now! haha

And how is the Sierra working out? Have you used it before? (I don't remember...) Is that the color Tide (umm you already know I stalk your yarn colors, right? haha). Call me silly - but I'm dying to know: is the husband going to model the sweater you are knitting for him? He better! :)

OLPP: mine were stuck at the Ohio Sortation Center for a while, so I hope the Dallas one is faster for you! :)

Kristie: technically this isn't yarn...so...that makes it ok, right? :D I'm always trying to justify buying knitting supplies. ;)

Alright, now that I know that too many of you out there love these needles, I'm going to have to figure a way to buy them without going off my knitting diet (not that I'm all that good at dieting anyway).

OOh a live action shot! Those are magnificent, and I cannot wait to get mine! They're coming with some wool for a felted purse I must have. Must. Of course, this all depende on the Dallas Sortation Center being willing to part with my treasure!
