(This post has been edited because I think I complain way too much lately!)
I am trying not to focus so much on the “bad” things right now…I am immersed (covered?) in knitting:
- my first project in Kidsilk Haze! photo soon! It’s the Airy Scarf from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts.
- my Knit Picks Options needles should be here tomorrow! I am so excited
Crafty nerds unite!
- more new yarn on the way! Miraculously, I still have birthday money in my account! I’ve made sure not to spend it all in one place, and that is working out great.

Well, at least it wasn’t a completely-gone-bad-everything-sucks kind of day. But that is awful about your windshield
You’re lucky it wasn’t an accident!
(what kind of yarn did you get in your swap? hehe. Happy thoughts!)
I know, I am trying to look on the bright side, for once. Hopefully we’ll be able to have it repaired and it won’t need to be replaced entirely, but we’ll find out soon.
I got some Cherry Tree Hill Supersock in the colorway Quarry Hill.
I don’t have a photo yet because I am super lazy tonight…my apologies.
P.S. I just edited this post, so I think you’re the only one who read the original!
It’s okay if you want to complain, it’s your blog!
Oooh okay, I just googled that colorway – really pretty – the colors are so deep and jeweltoned (do they look that way in person?)!
I am so excited about you getting the Options needles. Everything I’ve read sounds really positive. I’m thinking about asking my daddy-o if he’ll get me them for my birthday
(apparently he was going to send me money to get a dog?! I mean, sometimes I think I want a dog… but dude… get me knitting suppplies first! haha)
I love spreading out giftcards/money… it makes it so much better
Something here, something there…
I totally vicariously live through you. haha.
Yes, the colors are very jewel-toney and saturated.
It looks a lot like the Brown Sheep Wildfoote sock yarn I swapped a few weeks ago, only better!
awww, how sweet of your dad! I love dogs, of course, but the Options needles are quite wonderful as well.
hehe, it’s nice to spread the knittyness and such!
