Current knitting project: the Lace Leaf Scarf from last spring/summer’s Vogue Knitting. I think I am ready to tackle lace full on! Hopefully I won’t take forever finishing this. Scarves usually bore me toward the middle, but lace keeps it interesting since I get to see each of the leaves take shape, as opposed to something like ribbing which gets old pretty fast.

I’m waiting for the last of my swap yarn to arrive; I have a pair of lace socks waiting in the wings. And get this! That pattern uses a *chart* and I am going to attempt to knit from a chart. That’s sort of exciting for me, hehehe.

And you’ve probably already seen this photo, but here it is: my finished Green Gable tee/sweater/thing! I still need to wash it…I hope it won’t pill too much. The yarn is part cotton and quite soft, but I’m sure it’s going to pill some. Hopefully I won’t be picking lint balls off of it constantly.

I am now watching Bridget Jones’s Diary for the second time today and the fourth time in a week, I think. It was on the Bravo channel back to back last weekend, and I remembered how much I love this movie! The unedited version is far better, of course, so I’ve been watching it this afternoon/evening on DVD. Though, technically right now I’m more “listening” to it than watching it. When I really enjoy a movie, I tend to loop the DVD endlessly as background noise while I’m online, knitting, or whatever.

The husband finally comes home tomorrow night from his trip to Virginia. I have enjoyed the quiet time to myself, but am looking forward to seeing him again.
