Gold Lace Leaf Scarf WIP Current knitting project: the Lace Leaf Scarf from last spring/summer’s Vogue Knitting. I think I am ready to tackle lace full on! Hopefully I won’t take forever finishing this. Scarves usually bore me toward the middle, but lace keeps it interesting since I get to see each of the leaves take shape, as opposed to something like ribbing which gets old pretty fast. :)

I’m waiting for the last of my swap yarn to arrive; I have a pair of lace socks waiting in the wings. And get this! That pattern uses a *chart* and I am going to attempt to knit from a chart. :D That’s sort of exciting for me, hehehe.

Green Gable! (Outside) And you’ve probably already seen this photo, but here it is: my finished Green Gable tee/sweater/thing! I still need to wash it…I hope it won’t pill too much. The yarn is part cotton and quite soft, but I’m sure it’s going to pill some. Hopefully I won’t be picking lint balls off of it constantly.

I am now watching Bridget Jones’s Diary for the second time today and the fourth time in a week, I think. It was on the Bravo channel back to back last weekend, and I remembered how much I love this movie! The unedited version is far better, of course, so I’ve been watching it this afternoon/evening on DVD. Though, technically right now I’m more “listening” to it than watching it. When I really enjoy a movie, I tend to loop the DVD endlessly as background noise while I’m online, knitting, or whatever.

The husband finally comes home tomorrow night from his trip to Virginia. I have enjoyed the quiet time to myself, but am looking forward to seeing him again.

Ooh la la I like the new scarf-in-progress! :) Very nice. And again, GG turned out really great =D I’ll leave the tv on in the background, too, if I’m home alone. Gosh, it’s been three weeks since he’s gone already?! Man. Time flies!

Your Lacy Leaf Scarf is so pretty! Isn’t nature a great pattern inspiration? I’ll dig out my LL Scarf/Warp I planned for my daughter and post some new pictures of it. Can’t remember why I put it down, oh yeah, I was afraid of lace… seems like a long time ago now.
I am sure you’ll master the lace sock chart without any problem.
It must feel good to finally have the husband back home tomorrow! And maybe a little bit intrusive in “your” space. Take care!

I adore your lace leaf scarf, Tiffany! I learned to knit basic scarves (purl stitch, knit stitch), but nothing like that!

And bravo on your green gable! It looks fantastic! Again, makes me wish I knew how to snit something more than scarves… how rewarding it must feel to be able to knit actual articles of clothing. :-)
