I just had a rude awakening: I really cannot sing.
Just for kicks, I recorded myself on my laptop singing along to my iPod. BIG mistake. yikes! I suck at singing. This is such a disappointment. I seriously sounded like an American Idol reject.
Funny how your voice sounds great inside your head…then you hear it recorded, and it just sounds gross.

singing is one part talent, one part know how. If you weren’t singing in the correct key for your voice, it would sound like crap. Rejects don’t have tone OR enough sence to learn how to sing!!

Maybe it just sounds gross to you, because it is your voice. Even people who can sing sometimes don’t like to hear their voice recorded!
*sidenote: did you ever see the Family Guy where Peter finds out he’s mentally retarded, and goes crazy at the burger place? And Lois is like “Oh my… is that really how my voice sounds? All whinyyy and nasallyyy?” hehe.

kc: no really, it was gross! yuckola! Sounded like I could have been an AI reject, seriously. It was embarrassing to listen to, but at the same time I kept cracking up because it was so terrible and I never knew I was that bad! I wonder if I could learn to sing properly?
